In this day and age we seem to have forgotten the value and the force we carrie in our hearts. It has been ignored, silenced and deemed a fool. We have developed a fear of all that may come out of it. Pain, passion, impulsive decisions translated into raw actions. We are also fearful of what may settle in it. Hatred, heartbreak, rejection, and more pain. This very same heart is capable of irradiating and exerting the most wonderful feelings. Joy, tenderness, care, compassion, empathy, gratitude, acceptance and, above all, love.

Today’s society relies heavily on the value and the force of our minds. And it can be valued in money, status and respect. If we are good at analysing our situation and adjusting our decisions after careful mental consideration, we will most likely get a result of value in accordance to the expectations of the society around us. A good mind should provide us with enough resources to keep our societal appearances. No matter the cost. The question today is: Is that all our lives should amount to?

We are inherently and fundamentally more than our minds. We are more than that which our eyes can see, our hands can touch, our tongue can taste, our ears can hear and our nose can smell. The mind is the processor decoding the analog signals our senses pick up on. We have become experts in running this processor. And we have been running it hot. The pandemic was a nice fan air over the processor. It gave us time and space to reboot, and in rebooting we not only could think on a slower pace, but we gave us the opportunity to feel rather than only sense and decode.

Our hearts were thawed and, probably for the first time since childhood, we could feel the world around us. The people, places, things. And most of all, «our selves». Who are we? What are we doing? Does this make us happy? Does that? And so it began. The thawing of our hearts.

Now it’s time to pay heed to our feelings. It is time to pursue that which gives us joy and excitement. Life is simply too short to be spent violating our selves in order to satisfy the construed expectations derived from the illusion we call «society».

To that end, we offer the wisdom of our hearts in posts like this, and we know that you will find your own answers within your own heart, and that your light will lit your way forward.

«The universe is all feelings«.

  1. I totally respect your insight and I will only add one thing because you pretty much said it all. People do need to «thaw» their hearts because there are so very few, that I’ve come across anyway, that show kindness or compassion for their fellow human being and that is just horrible if you think about it. Most today are users and scammers and the worst part is, they do not care. Very sad to me! If some of us would just «AWAYS be kind because you never know what someone is going through» then society just may catch on if it’s done in sincerity. Exceptional post❣️ Would you please subscribe to my blog and comment on one or more of my posts, I would be sooo appreciative ❣️

    1. Thank you so much for your visit.

To be kind to others we must be kind to ourselves. By looking inside we might grasp a little bit of what is outside. Kindness can then show itself in sincerity.
